Lucy is a handcrafted replica of an Edwardian Thames launch (design from 1905). She has a fully enclosed, heated saloon with double-glazed windows and a skylight, a bar area, a toilet and a small aft deck for two.
The Light Festival from the water
This is a private charter of Lucy during the 15th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival, from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027. The artworks are lit every evening from 16:30 to 23:00 (until 21:00 on 31 December). Lucy takes up to 6 guests and leaves from Keizersgracht 106. The large windows keep the view open from the warm saloon, which suits a small group that wants a quiet evening among the light artworks.
Good to know
The cruise is in English or Dutch. Please be at the dock 5 minutes before departure. The Pure Boats office at Keizersgracht 92H is close to the dock. Pets are welcome on private cruises. Bring something for your pet to sit on. Drinks are not part of the boat price. When you book you can add an open bar, champagne or catering.
Cancelling and changing the date
These are the Pure Boats terms for private cruises. If you cancel up to 4 weeks before departure, 10% of the total price is charged. From 4 to 2 weeks before it is 25%, from 2 to 1 week before 50%, from 7 to 2 days before 75%, and within 48 hours the full price. You can change the date for free if the new cruise date is at least 2 weeks after you ask. Between 2 weeks and 48 hours before departure, changing the date costs EUR 100. “What a fantastic afternoon on the Danique! We live in Amsterdam ourselves, so you’d think we’ve seen the canals by now… but apparently not like this 😄 We had such a fun mix of Londoners and Americans on board, amazing weather, seriously good drinks and delicious sharing platters. But the absolute star of the tour was our skipper Floris — he was BRILLIANT! He seems to know absolutely everything about Amsterdam, including all the weird, funny little details you never hear about. And while casually telling us all these stories, he was navigating the Danique through the canals — half the time backwards — as if it was the easiest thing in the world 😂 Great atmosphere, great boat, great food & drinks and an even better skipper. Even as Amsterdammers, we absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!”

About Pure Boats
Pure Boats
Pure Boats was founded in Amsterdam in 2017 by James, Nick and Geertje — three former superyacht designers who set out to build a boutique, personal alternative to Amsterdam's big tour boats. The fleet has grown from one restored boat, Geertje, to six named vessels — Geertje, Schollevaar, Pure Spirit, Stan Huygens, Lucy and Danique — each electric and hand-restored, some over a century old.
